Riverwalk Kennels is located about 10 minutes from downtown San Antonio and its famous Riverwalk. Having a background in breeding and showing horses since the 1980s, in 1994 we decided to branch out and look into showing dogs. In the beginning, we picked Yorkshire Terriers, as well as Maltese, not only for their spunky temperaments as well as their elegant beauty. Our primary focus is to continue improving on the Riverwalk bloodline with conformation dog shows in mind. With only a few planned breedings each year, we do on occassion have pet quality puppies available. Our goal here at Riverwalk, is to produce a healthy happy dog that meets the AKC breed standard. In other words, we want our dogs to have brains and health as well as beauty. Our dogs are a family affair, here at Riverwalk. Our dogs are socialized to bring out the best in their personalities. All of our pet quality puppies are now spayed or neutured before they are placed in their new homes, in addition to the normal veterinary health exam.
